Southern Oregon Education Service District is accepting applications for a School Psychologist position with the Special Education Department.
The position will provide services to students within the Jackson, Josephine, Douglas and Klamath Counties.
Suggest intervention strategies with a preventative focus, including documentation
Provide consultation services and/or in-services to ESD staff, district staff, administrators and parents regarding learning, self-sufficiency, behavioral and other student needs
Prepare, organize, and maintain confidential files and student records in accordance with ESD, state and federal policies and guidelines
Maintain open communication to keep districts informed of the activities and services of the program
Assist districts and the ESD in district-wide or countywide special projects and/or committee work (e.g. SLP/LSP Review)
Coordinate and cooperate with outside agencies to provide services to students with self-sufficiency, behavioral, and other student needs
Work cooperatively and collaboratively as a team member using good interpersonal relationship and communication skills
Communicate clearly and appropriately and make independent decisions within established policies and procedures.
Participate in professional growth activities
Performs other duties and job related tasks as assigned by supervisor

This position is a full-time (1.0 FTE) licensed position. Placement on the Southern Oregon license salary schedule will be commensurate with applicant’s qualifications, relevant training, experience and prorated according to start date.
Southern Oregon ESD will support payment for health, dental and vision insurance premiums for qualified employees. Employer-paid PERS, holidays, sick leave, and personal days are also provided to qualified employees employed over .50 FTE.
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree
Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices School (TSPC) Psychologist License; or,
Psychologist licensed by State board of Psychological Examiners
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Reliable transportation for itinerant responsibilities
Nationwide criminal history check and fingerprinting are required
LENGTH OF POSITION: 190 Day School Year / 1.0 FTE
SALARY RANGE: $62,844 to $98,865 for 2024-2025 school year.
