Welcome to Amador County Public Schools! Our unified P-12 district serves about 4,000 students and consists of the Amador County Unified School District and the Amador County Office of Education. Our schools and communities are nestled in the heart of the Gold Country in the Sierra Nevada Foothills, close to San Francisco, Sacramento, Yosemite and Lake Tahoe. We offer a variety of quality schools including two comprehensive high schools, one alternative high school, two junior high schools, and six elementary schools.

Requirements / Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent, and one of the following to be No Child Left Behind (NCLB) compliant: AA or higher degree OR 2 years of college (evidence of 48 semester units) OR pass the Amador Schools NCLB exam. Additional training in Child Development or Special Education is desirable. Standard CPR and First Aid certificate required. MUST HAVE A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD and provide current CA driver's license and DMV Record Report if hired
