ABOUT THE ROLE: A .NET Developer designs, develops, implements, and supports complex and critical .NET-based applications based on District and customer needs and modifies and maintains existing .NET applications. JOB DUTIES: • Designing, developing, testing, documenting, and implementing high quality business needs using the .NET framework. • Designing and implementing .NET-based databases and managing data loads and data quality. • Coding, compiling, and testing complex website applications. • Maintaining multiple user roles, security, profiles, and workflow rules. • Supporting and training new and existing users in .NET applications. • Managing system problems after business hours and responding to calls to support applications. • Designing and creating advanced business reports with graphics and charts integrated with web based applications. • Installing, testing, debugging, supporting, and documenting applications and complex technical implementations. • Ensuring application quality and consistency • Diagnosing and troubleshooting problems with existing applications. • Identifying and evaluating industry best practice solutions to utilize in a technical environment. • Providing time estimate and schedules for projects and communicating with departments and users on project requirements and status. • Assisting in e

QUALIFICATIONS: Education: • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Additional qualifying experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to two years of the required education provided that the requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent is met. Experience: Three years of experience in software development using seven of the following technologies: • C# • ASP.NET MVC • TFS • Entity Framework • REST API/Webservices • Ajax • jQuery,JavaScript • .Net Core • Bootstrap • Modern UI design in SQL Server 2012 or later database environment. One year of experience with Oracle 12c or newer and mobile application development experience is preferred. Special Notes: • Employees in this class may be subject to call at any hour.
