Join the staff at the Diagnostic Center, North in Fremont, California located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Become part of a team of nationally recognized expert educators working with California’s special educators and families. Make a difference! You will serve as a member of a transdisciplinary assessment team providing services to local school districts in 35 counties. You will have an opportunity to develop and conduct training programs and workshops for educators and families. Job Description / Essential Elements:
Print
- Provide consultation and assessment services
- Administer, score and interpret standardized and informal measures of assessment
- Compose comprehensive reports of assessment findings, implications and recommendations for instructional strategies and related services within the context of a multiple disciplinary report
- Attend parent/district conferences and meetings
- Develop and conducts training programs and workshops
- Travel throughout Northern California

Minimum Qualifications : • California School Psychology Credential • Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology or related field • Minimum of 8 years’ experience working with students with disabilities • Experience in conducting psycho-educational assessments of students (ages 3 to 22) with a variety of disabilities (e.g. emotional disturbance, intellectual disability, autism, learning disability, ADHD, etc.) • Experience interviewing students, family members and school personnel • Knowledge and experience using California Ed. Code and DSM-5 • Excellent analytical and writing skills • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a transdisciplinary assessment team • Able to complete assignments with pre-established timelines • Ability to present assessment findings, implications and recommendations in a clear and sensitive manner to parents and school district personnel at student case conferences • Ability to develop and provide trainings and workshops • Ability to travel

• Salary range: $89,748.00 - $120,624.00
