Job Summary

Job Summary

The State Preschool Associate operates under the supervision of a State Preschool Teacher (as applicable) to provide care, instruction, and supervision of children in a County-operated State Preschool program. The State Preschool Associate also assists in the preparation and presentation of activity plans and assists in record-keeping. (In the absence of the State Preschool Teacher, the State Preschool Associate is expected to perform the full scope of State Preschool Teacher duties.)

Requirements / Qualifications

NECESSARY MATERIALS FOR APPLICATION • Completed EDJOIN application (incomplete applications will not be accepted); • Copy of Child Development Associate Teacher Permit – OR – transcripts verifying applicable units with the ability to obtain a Child Development Associate Teacher Permit upon employment (if not registered with County Credentials); • Copy of valid Pediatric CPR certificate and valid Pediatric First Aid certificates (if not on file with Human Resources). This posting is for Internal (San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools District employees) CSEA Bargaining Unit Members Only. Probationary employees may not apply. Unit members who have passed their probationary period, may be granted one voluntary transfer per school year. Permanent unit members must file an on-line EDJOIN application within the ten (10) day filing period. Please be aware that we operate classes in different districts that may have different calendars. If you transfer between positions operating on different calendars, it may change your monthly rate of pay and/or pay increments.
