 Responsibilities
  • Design and follow a complete teaching plan that meets the needs of each child’s individual learning style and pace of learning, using existing programs used by Monica Ros School
  • Organize learning materials and resources, and use a variety of activities and instructional methods (songs, stories, media, structured games, art, outdoor activities, etc) to motivate and stimulate students
  • Teach academics along with anti-bias, personal, social and emotional skills
  • Participate in special activities, thematic teaching units, and extracurricular events that make the Monica Ros School experience and community what it is
  • Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide appropriate information
  • Assess students performance and progress to ensure they are mastering skills on a regular basis
  • Monitor children’s interactions and nurture social-emotional development
  • Cooperate with administration staff
  • Follow and comply with teaching standards and safety regulations
  • Attend weekly administrative meetings and participate in school related community events
Preferred Education and Experience
  • 2+ years Teaching experience 
  • Bachelor's degree
  • CA Teaching Credential
  • Excellent knowledge of child development, education theories and practices
  • Creative and artistic teaching abilities
  • Patience and flexibility
  • Strong communication skills
  • Desire to continue professional development opportunities
  • Ability to provide references
  • Successful completion of fingerprinting and criminal background check (a must)
