Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Special Education, the Program Specialist provides assistance to Special Education staff in the following ways: 1) attends and/or facilitates IEP meetings when needed, 2) participates in the planning and implementation of professional development, 3) provides coaching and feedback regarding instruction in special education programs, 4) participates in hiring and evaluation of special education staff, 5) collaborates with families, the County Office of Education (COE) and community agencies in support of SCCS students, 6) participates in the development of master contracts for special education services, and 7) supports the monitoring and implementation of special education programs in Santa Cruz City Schools.
Requirements / Qualifications
The ideal candidate would have five years of successful special education teaching experience, possess a Master's degree in Education or related field and possess a valid California Administrative Services Credential or eligibility for one. Panel Interviews are scheduled for Wednesday, April 20, 2022.
