"BIG PICTURE" RESPONSIBILITY: Reporting to and under the supervision of the Dean with daily work direction from the Head Librarian in conjunction with departmental academic librarians and higher-level Library/Media Technicians, performs a variety of library/media technical and clerical functions related to the circulation, acquisition, and cataloging/processing of library materials and related equipment.
Offers instructional support to students, faculty, staff, and community members by providing access to and instruction in a variety of library resources. Maintains library materials, equipment, and academic reserve collection. Performs other related duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: One (1) year of full-time equivalent experience working in community colleges, universities, K-12 schools, government-regulated agencies or equivalent experience involving customer service or general clerical duties to assist the public. Education: Education equivalent to an Associate’s degree (60 semester units) from an accredited college or university is required. Two years direct experience in addition to that identified above may be substituted for each year (30 semester units) of college plus a library/media technician certificate
