Requirements / Qualifications
The Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA), 9-12 articulates and interfaces with District leads on support to sites, grade levels, and content areas as related to the effectiveness of the District’s instructional programs; provides direct coaching and facilitates instructional guidance to classroom teachers with support of site administrators to ensure college and career readiness for all students who graduate from high school; and supports all aspects of District implementation of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and 21st Century Learning. Must have a California Clear Credential, experience as a successful instructional leader, expertise in effective lesson design, delivery, and strategies, minimum of three years of teaching experience in the Covina-Valley Unified School District while possessing a clear credential or equivalent.
