Job Summary

The Poway Unified School District is looking for Counselors for the 2022-2023 school year. Under the supervision of the Associate Superintendent of Student Support Services, candidates will provide counseling services to schools including testing, and consulting to assist in meeting educational needs of individual pupils.

Requirements / Qualifications

This is an eligibility pool for the 2022-2023 school year. Student Support Services may contact applicants directly for interviews as positions become available. EDUCATION/CREDENTIAL REQUIRED: Must have a valid California Pupil Personnel Services Credential Must have master's degree to apply.

A minimum of a master's degree. Graduate work should include successful practicum and fieldwork experience, personality and learning theory, and testing and measurement. Must hold a Pupil Personnel Services credential with School Counseling Authorization. A current California teaching credential is desirable. At least two (2) years of successful teaching or related experience, and/or two (2) years of successful counseling experience strongly preferred. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: All required documents MUST be scanned and attached prior to submitting an application for this position. Incomplete applications will not be considered. 1. Copy of Transcript (Official transcripts are required upon hiring). 4. Current resume 6. Letter of introduction, addressed to Charan Kirpalani, Director of Human Resources. 7. Three (3) letters of reference, signed/dated within the past 12 months. Applicants are encouraged to include at least one (1) letter of reference from a supervising or site administrator. 8.
