Requirements / Qualifications
Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and some experience working with children or individuals with disabilities. This position requires the SCOE Para Proficiency Test certificate or (NCLB/ESSA test certificate from Stanislaus County, CBEST, transcripts showing minimum of 48 units or Degree and date awarded). Must be at least 18 years of age

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups of severely handicapped students in a classroom, monitor and report student progress regarding behavior and performance; assist students in developing various self-help, social and community skills.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and some experience working with children or individuals with disabilities.

LICENSE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This position requires the SCOE Para Proficiency Test certificate or (NCLB/ESSA Test certificate from Stanislaus County, CBEST, or transcripts showing minimum of 48 college units or date AA Degree or higher level degree was awarded, can be substituted for the Para Proficiency Test)
