Requirements / Qualifications

A five minute Typing Certificate validating ability to type a minimum of 45wpm. Typing test available 7:30am-3:30pm M-F at 150 District Center Drive, Palm Springs. Please call (760) 883-2715 ext. 4805362 (Juanita) or ext. 4805367 (Johanna) for an appointment. Typing certificates from other credible organizations may be accepted. (Must include letterhead and authorized signature) and must be attached to application prior to application deadline. Typing certificates from online websites will not be accepted.

SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Principal, perform specialized and complex technical and administrative clerical support duties within an assigned school office; prepare and maintain a variety of manual and automated records and reports related to assigned activities; ensure smooth and efficient office operations; translate communications between personnel and non-English speaking parents and members of the community. JOB REQUIREMENTS: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be able to read, write and speak Spanish. The ability to type 45 wpm. Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and three years of increasingly responsible clerical experience involving public contact. Experience with Windows, Excel, Publisher, Google Docs is highly desired. PLEASE NOTE: This recruitment will serve to fill current vacancy and to establish a three month eligibility pool for future vacancies throughout the district.
