Job Summary

The School Counselor will join a team of educators focused on the intellectual, physical and emotional wellness of students. JTD is committed to a child-centered, empathetic, strengths-based approach in which students develop healthy and caring relationships and a positive attitude toward learning. The School Counselor provides support and interventions to students, and consults with teachers, families, and administrators to help children with social, emotional and mental health issues. The counselor works with the other members of the Student Success Team to provide leadership in program development for social and emotional learning, the Growth Ed program, and in enhancing student life by fostering a culture of belonging.
