THE POSITION: The Coordinator III, Human Resource Services (HRS), shall coordinate and provide technical, specialized, consultative, and advisory directions on varied aspects of human resource management, including recruitment, selection, retention, and dismissal. The position works with multiple units within the Division of Human Resource Services and impacts office-wide efforts designed to promote policy implementation. The Coordinator III will supervise staff within human resources and/or labor relations and will be responsible for budget development and oversight. The Coordinator III will report to Director I, Human Resource Services, however, the incumbent will exhibit a high degree of independence while communicating with multiple divisions and bargaining units. The position requires specialized subject matter expertise in education services and human resource management, as well as extensive, directly related, and progressive administrative experience. Responsibilities include direct supervision of personnel.
Requirements / Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Experience: Comprehensive, directly related, and progressive experience including five (5) years of school site/district administrative experience or employee relations experience including supervision. Education: A Master’s degree in education or a closely related field from an institution of higher learning accredited by one of the six regional accreditation associations recognized by the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE: Possess and maintains a valid Supervisory or Administrative Credential.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement for All Los Angeles County Office of Education Employees
Under Superintendent Policy 4060, COVID-19 Vaccination, the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) requires that all LACOE employees, including substitute employees, temporary office workers, hourly/part-time employees, contractors, interns, and volunteers are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. An individual is considered “fully vaccinated” when at least two weeks have passed since that individual’s receipt of the second dose in a two-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson and Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.
