Requirements / Qualifications

Certificate/Materials Required: • Must hold a minimum of 90 semester units of course work or hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university. • California Basic Education Skills Test (CBEST) • TB Clearance (Must be cleared within four (4) years) All applicants must have a valid California teaching credential or a 30-day Emergency Substitute Teaching Permit. *First time applicants may apply for a permit with the necessary documents. Upon hire, the district will assist with the Substitute Teaching Permit application process.

All applicants must submit the following documents with their application: • Unofficial Transcript(s): For application purposes, unofficial copies are accepted. Unofficial transcripts MUST show completion of a minimum of 90 semester units of course work towards a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university. If selected to move forward in the hiring process, sealed official copies of transcripts will be required. • CBEST Certification: This is a Basic Skills Requirement for obtaining any type of teaching credential permit. If you have not taken or passed the CBEST, you may satisfy the requirement with alternative options. Please review the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) website for additional information *NOTE: Due to the Governor’s executive order, this requirement may be waived for one year. • Two (2) most recent professional letters of recommendation: Must be within the last two (2) years. **Please note that your application will be considered incomplete if you do not attach the required documents.

This is for a Long-term Substitute Teacher position. The assignment for this position is anticipated to go through the end of the school year. Site assignments to be determined based on the needs of the District. Long-Term Rate of Pay 16+ Days: $215 per day for 16 days or more in same assignment.
