
Coordinator - Expanded Learning Programs at Riverside Unified School District (RUSD)

With schools dating back to the 1870s, the award-winning Riverside Unified School District (RUSD) is now the 16th largest school district in California. RUSD educates nearly 42,000 students across 50 schools in Riverside. The District serves a large portion of Riverside as well as the unincorporated areas of Highgrove and Woodcrest. RUSD is led by its 12th Superintendent, Ms. Renee Hill and is governed by a Board of Education comprised of publicly elected officials who serve five different trustee areas.
Requirements / Qualifications
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Director of Instructional Services or their designee, the Coordinator oversees the planning, implementation, operation, budget, evaluation and supervision of all After School Programs at multiple sites. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: - Coordinate all Expanded Learning Programs in conjunction with site principals. Provide district level direction to multi-site expanded learning programs, individual site based expanded learning programs managers and community partner organizations to ensure comprehensive, collaborative service planning and programming. - Provide instructional leadership in developing the academic curriculum for after school programs in coordination with principals, expanded learning programs managers, teaching staff and the Instruction Department. - Administer and monitor complex, interagency project budgets from a variety of funding sources and facilitate budget revision requests to the funding sources as needed. Current funding sources include federal and state funding 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant, After School Education and Safety Grant, and Expanded Learning Opportunities Program funding. - Act as liaison to federal and state Project Officers and coordinate the preparation of required program reports to the funding sources. - Follow all program guidance, maintain proper record keeping, and facilitate any audits of these records including Federal Program Monitoring. - Establish a sustainable strategic plan, maximize blended funding opportunities and coordinate efforts to research, explore and pursue additional private and public funding sources to insure ongoing continuation of the programs beyond the termination of grant funds.
