Job Summary

Job Summary

We are seeking to hire an educator with an unwavering commitment to raising student achievement, with the ability to demonstrate composure under pressure with diverse groups of learners while implementing culturally proficient teaching practices. The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to teach other subject areas as needed in this growing middle school program. This position is an 10 month teaching contract.

Requirements / Qualifications

California Teaching Credential or Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (preferred) in English Language Arts, Education, History or Science plus 3 years of experience (preferred).


A successful candidate will also:

  • has strong instructional organization, proven classroom management skills, and willingness to engage with students who are new to a rigorous schedule
  • has experience with effective use of educational technology
  • demonstrates ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic professional learning community has a minimum of two years of middle school teaching experience in underserved communities in your area of expertise;
  • appreciates and respects Catholic, Jesuit culture, identity and values;
  • understands and supports the Mission, Vision, and Culture of the school;
  • must have the ability to commute to the Sunset District of San Francisco;
  • is fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
