Requirements / Qualifications
Must possess a valid CA Clear Multiple Subject credential for online teaching assignments. Valid CA Preliminary Multiple Subject credential holders must teach in the classroom at their assigned Learning Center for in person assignments. Applicant must be willing to work with TK-8th grade students of varying ability levels and with varying educational needs. Charter school experience preferred. Prior independent study teaching experience highly desirable.
Written assessment will be administered as part of the selection process. Must apply through EdJoin, upload the required documents and complete the Target Success Sketch at the end of the application at the same time of applying - or you will not be considered for this position. Allow 45 minutes to complete the Teacher Sketch.

This position qualifies for full health and wellness, training and professional development, and CalSTRs retirement.
The HCT performs both Education Specialist duties and Learning Center Teacher duties. The HCT works with students in grades TK-8, collaborating with parents and students on goal setting, curriculum and lesson planning, administering assessments, monitoring progress, assigning grades and units, completing all related documentation and teaching two days at a regional Learning Center. The HCT will serve between 17- 20 students and works two days a week at a regional Learning Center.
