Job Summary

The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting to fill a vacancy for a Program Secretary for the Early Education Programs and Services department, located at the main SDCOE campus in San Diego, CA. The current vacancy is a full-time 12 month position, requires bilingual Spanish/English fluency, and will offer the classified support benefits package. A Program Secretary performs a full-range of secretarial support services of average difficulty requiring the use of independent judgment. Tasks performed by the classification of Program Secretary include preparing correspondence, forms, reports, and related materials; coordinating meetings, workshops, and events; entering data and information into related databases; scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars; and answering phone calls to provide information as requested.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum requirements for this position include one year of progressively responsible office/secretarial experience and training, which demonstrates the knowledge and abilities listed on the job description. Work experience involving the use of computers for word processing and computerized record-keeping software is required.
