Job Summary
The Jefferson Union High School District is seeking a dynamic education leader for Thornton High School for the 2022 Summer school year. Under the direction of the Superintendent, or designee, the Principal serves as the educational leader and chief administrator of the comprehensive high school. The Principal coordinates all aspects of the instructional program; organizes, directs, supervises and evaluates site personnel; and participates in staff, student and community activities. Candidates must possess an appropriate school administrative credential; successful experience as a classroom teacher/counselor at the secondary level; progressively responsible experience in secondary school administration; and knowledge of curriculum concepts and materials pertinent to secondary education.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS-EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING: • California Administrative Services Credential • California Teaching Credential • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and occasional weekends.
