This posting is intended to establish an eligibility pool of applicants for Principal at Kempton Literacy Academy for the 2022-2023 school year. ***Selected candidates will be contacted during the month of March 2022 for next steps in the hiring process for current openings*** KEMPTON LITERACY ACADEMY As the dual language academy for La Mesa Spring Valley Schools, we aspire to create 21st century global citizens who are bilingual, biliterate and multicultural critical thinkers. Kempton is staffed with outstanding teachers who are highly skilled, energetic and passionate in pursuing success for each child. Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: - Minimum 5 years teaching experience in a public school setting. (Supervisory experience preferred). - Must have strong record of instructional leadership as a teacher and as an administrator. - Previous experience as a Principal or Assistant Principal desired. - Must possess outstanding oral and written communication skills. - Knowledge and experience in implementing and supporting a dual language program. - Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in Spanish EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS: - Master's Degree - Possession of a valid California Teaching Credential. - Possession of a valid California Administrative Services Credential. - Possession of a valid California Bilingual Authorization in Spanish MUST ATTACH THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS TO YOUR APPLICATION: - Cover Letter/Letter of Introduction (not more than 1500 words). - Resume (not more than two pages) - 3 Letters of reference/recommendation (written within the last 12 months) - Copy of credential(s) (CA CTC website screenshot is acceptable)
