Comprehensive Coordinated Early Intervention Services (CCEIS) is hiring two Elementary teachers to serve in an Accelerated Literacy Academy (ALA) in either LD West or LD South. ALA centers were established by the Division of Special Education as a means to improve the reading skills of both general education and special education students with pervasive reading difficulties. Student participation in the centers is temporary and interim. Teachers use a variety of evidence based instructional techniques, strategies and technology to help students access the core curriculum while improving their skills in literacy. This position supports the Significant Disproportionality Comprehensive Coordinated Early Intervening Services (CCEIS) Program Improvement Process to reduce the disproportionate representation of students in special education. *Please see flyer for additional information*
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum requirements: • A current California Teaching Credential in Multiple Subjects- Elementary (note- this is a Gen Ed teaching position) • English Learner Authorization • Experience teaching reading to students • Ability to travel to other sites and locations (on an as needed basis) *Please see flyer for additional information* Note: Applicants are advised that meeting the stated minimum requirements does not ensure an invitation to an interview.
