Job Summary

Under supervision, assists certificated staff with the instruction, supervision, and training of individual or groups of special education students with severe disabilities, performs a variety of one-on-one physical care and instructional support activities, and performs related work as required.

Requirements / Qualifications

-Updated Resume -Letter of Introduction or Interest -Completion of at least two years of study at an institution of higher education; or possession of an AA degree or higher; or verification of having obtained a passing score on a district-approved proficiency assessment demonstrating knowledge of, and ability to assist in, instructing reading, writing and mathematics. -Letter(s) of Recommendation (up to 3)

EXPERIENCE: One year of experience working with high school students in a group situation, preferably in an instructional capacity (college level course work in appropriate subject areas is desirable and may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis).
