Math Teacher - Penn Fellow/Intern Position at Marin Academy
Job Summary
Job Summary
Marin Academy seeks to appoint a Penn Teaching Fellow in math (starting in June) for the 2022–2023 school. The Independent School Teaching Residency program is a master’s degree program run by the University of Pennsylvania. Enrolled students commit to a two-year teaching fellowship, teaching a reduced load (two classes for the first year and two or three in the second) in addition to completing online and in-person courses. Fellows will not only gain real-world, hands-on experience at Marin Academy, they will also—upon successful completion of the program—earn a master’s degree in education from the University of Pennsylvania. Accepted Fellows will benefit from the guidance and mentorship of veteran faculty members at Marin Academy and will be involved fully in the life of the school. In addition to teaching, Fellows will have the opportunity to advise, coach, and/or sponsor student clubs/organizations. Fellows will also participate in regular seminars dedicated to the exploration of critical issues in education in addition to completing their coursework at Penn.
