Requirements / Qualifications
TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade; One (1) year of experience in general clerical work, or any combination of training and experience that would likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred (must be able to read, write and speak). A completed on-line application is required in order to be considered for this opening. The Personnel Services Technician will:
Provide highly effective, friendly, and responsive customer service;
Maintain both electronic and paper filing systems;
Prepare and process materials for employees and the department;
Excellent independent judgment, attention to detail, and speed in completing tasks;
Work efficiently under pressure with constant interruptions;
Diligently attend to details and pursue quality in accomplishing tasks;
Serve as the alternate Receptionist for the District Office as needed;
Perform other duties as assigned.
It is the policy of this District that employment will be offered to the successful candidate contingent upon satisfactory completion of a pre-employment physical, which includes a drug/alcohol screening test and fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice and FBI, and a current verification of a negative T.B. test or chest x-ray.
