Darnall Charter School Security/Supervision Aide TITLE: Security/Supervision Aide REPORTS TO: Assigned Supervisor(s) CLASSIFICATION: Classified hourly FLSA: Non-Exempt SALARY Rate: $15.71 per hour starting BASIC FUNCTIONS: Under immediate supervision, to supervise students during lunch periods, nutrition break, in restrooms, in crossing streets, or while waiting for pick up; to assist in the security and protection of all students, staff, and property, by protecting students and staff from harm and school property from loss or damage covered by anti-social acts. Typical Tasks: -Supervise students during the lunch period in the cafeteria, restrooms and on the school grounds. -Patrol school grounds, buildings and restroom to prevent vandalism to ensure adequate security. -Supervise students during recess, crossing streets, before and after school. -Reports special behavior problems. -Encourages and promotes courtesy among students. -Reports suspicious or unauthorized activities to school administrators. -Observes that safety rules are obeyed. -May relieve reception office personnel for lunch if necessary. -Performs other duties as assigned. SALARY Rate: $12.29 per hour starting

 

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person and on the telephone; seeing to read and prepare documents, perform assigned duties; sitting or standing for extended periods of time; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; kneeling, bending at the waist, and reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, to retrieve and store files and supplies; lifting light objects.

 

Note:   All positions in this job class are part-time and at-will.  Positions are subject to an increase or decrease in hours according to school needs.
