Job Summary

Plans and administers policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties personally or through collaboration with senior administration team.

Duties

 
Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.

Manages and coordinates recruiting activity, staffing plan, interviews, screening exams, and the selection process for filling and onboarding vacant positions.

Plans and conducts new employee orientation.

Maintains records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.

Coordinates management training and oversight in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.

Advises senior administration team in appropriate resolution of employee related issues.

Responds to staff inquiries regarding human resources policies, procedures, and programs.

Administers annual performance review programs in collaboration with senior administration to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.

Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization.

Conducts wage surveys within peer organizations  to determine competitive wages.

Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, retirement/pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.

Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier.

Prepares budget of human resources operations.

Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews.

Evaluates and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.

Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.

Copy of Transcript (Proof of BA/BS) A letter of introduction outlining your education, experience in human resources, and interest in the position. Three (3) current letters of recommendation specific to this position, including one from a supervisor within the last year. Resume

Education and Experience: The position requires a bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field. Five (5) years of progressive responsibility in human resources, preferably in a school setting.
