The Calaveras County Office of Education (“CCOE”) partners with our four local school districts and the community to provide quality education to our county’s 5,270 students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grades. We manage alternative education programs for students at Calaveras River Academy, Mountain Oaks Charter School (an Independent Study program), and Oakendell Community School. We also offer adult education services, and a variety of special education services as the Responsible Local Agency (“RLA”) for the Special Education Local Plan Area (“SELPA”); including, five special education preschool programs and a program for transition-aged young adults (ages 18-22). Job Summary
Under the direction and supervision of the assigned Cabinet Level Administrator(s) or designee, the Director III, Continuous Improvement and Leadership Development, collaboratively works with the Director III, Curriculum and Instruction, Assistant Superintendent, Instructional Support Services and SELPA Director under broad organizational guidelines to achieve objectives at the County and District level. May provide direct supervision of staff and/or others as assigned. As the 21st Century California School Leadership Academy (CSLA) Regional Lead Facilitator (RLF) for the Calaveras area sub-region and Calaveras County Office of Education (CCOE)’s data and assessment lead, the Director of Continuous Improvement and Leadership Development will provide high quality, equity centered professional learning for all Calaveras County educational leaders – teacher, site, and district – to create more equitable learning environments that ultimately improve success for underserved students. This position is designated as a certificated management position and is part of the leadership management team.
