Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS Possession of a valid California multiple subject or standard elementary credential. Experience or student teaching at the elementary level. CLAD/English Language Learner certification or equivalent is required. Candidates must meet one of the TK Senate Bill 876 requirements below: - At least 24 units in early childhood education, or childhood development, or both. - As determined by the local educational agency employing the teacher, professional experience in a classroom setting with preschool age children that is comparable to the 24 units of education described in bullet 1. - A child development teacher permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC). This requirement must be met by the CDE 8/1/2023 deadline.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT All employment offers are conditional, based upon the successful completion of the following: Fingerprint/background clearance, a tuberculosis clearance and proof of COVID-19 vaccination status. If you are hired, we will require you to prove that you -have received the COVID-19 vaccine(s) or have a valid religious or medical reason not be vaccinated. A physical examination clearance is required for certain positions for the district. All candidates with a record of convictions must indicate such on the confidential/legal section of the application, which is attached to the job application. A record of conviction will not automatically disqualify an applicant from employment, but a failure to list all convictions may result in disqualification or dismissal.
