Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: 1. Graduate from high school or equivalent. 2. Two (2) years experience working with student information software applications and/or databases 3. Knowledge of student database systems and software applications utilized by the District. 4. Ability to perform a variety of duties to assure proper operation of assigned computer systems 5. Ability to accept directions, communicate effectively and carry out oral and written instructions 6. Ability to maintain a cooperative working relationship with others using tact and courtesy. 7. Ability to provide training and assistance to system users concerning system operations, software applications and malfunctions related to the assigned databases and student information systems. 8. Ability to work independently with little direction; plan and prioritize work to meet schedules and timelines
Brief Description of Position: 1. Perform a variety of specialized duties to assure proper operation of assigned Student Information System (SIS); monitor and modify existing programs to improve reporting, record maintenance and compliance with established laws, rules and regulations 2. Provide SIS direction and support to District and administrative staff, SIS technical and other end-user support 3. District monitoring of SEIS data, including but not limited to preparing and assisting with reports such as student performance, staffing, post-secondary and student attendance/enrollment 4. Process submitted IEP’s and review for accuracy and compliance including verification of service; report weekly on completeness and timeliness of IEPs 5. Work with administrators to establish and monitor standards for databases including but not limited to AERIES, SEIS, CALPADS to ensure uniformity of applications from site to site 6. Support Special Education Coordinator with department needs, including but not limited to event planning, clerical support, confidential files, etc 7. Conduct training sessions to assure employee understanding of student information system software applications used
