Requirements / Qualifications
Must demonstrate Highly Qualified status using the following education requirements • Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent AND any one of the following: - Completion of two (2) years of higher education study (48 semester units or 72 quarter units) - Possession of an Associate’s degree or higher degree - Passage of a Fontana Unified School District (FUSD) approved Paraprofessional Exam or possession of an FUSD approved Paraprofessional Certificate. Under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, the law requires that paraprofessionals who assist in classroom instruction must meet the specific educational requirements listed above. PLEASE READ; "Job Description/Essential Elements" above to review additional qualifications for this position. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION: - Experience working with students in any of the core subject areas. - Experience working with English language learners. Proof of certificates, education, etc. will be required upon recommendation for employment.

TESTING: Qualified applicants will be notified via email regarding testing for this position.
Testing will tentatively be scheduled by 2/11/22.
Interviews will tentatively be scheduled by 2/20/22.
As of October 15, 2021, the California Department of Public Health order titled “Vaccine Verification for Workers in Schools” requires unvaccinated or incompletely vaccinated school employees to be tested at least once weekly. Proof of complete vaccination status must be provided prior to employment, or weekly testing will be required.
