SCUSD Student Teachers must be enrolled in one of the following Universities: Brandman University, Cal State Teach, CSU: Sacramento, National University, Fresno Pacific, UC Davis, or USC.
Requirements / Qualifications
1. Must be a current Student Teacher with Brandman University, Cal State Teach, CSU: Sacramento, National University, Fresno Pacific, UC Davis, or USC. 2. Student Teachers must have Fingerprinted & TB tested with SCUSD (not just CSUS) prior to stepping on our Campus. Remember, you must have HR clearance to begin Student Teaching. 3. Credential Requirements: * If you currently have an active 30 day permit with CCTC please skip the next question below and move to step #4 below. * If you do not have a 30 day permit with CTC please follow the instructions provided by our Credential by clicking this link https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SfLGzf7A7dsc7HcZmz3tu4DoFAC6yvcFpTRjv6CIHNk/edit?usp=sharing ** Plan to provide “Official” University Transcripts, indicating Bachelor’s Degree conferred (CTC requires Official Transcripts). Please note, while your onboarding process requires Official Transcripts as well; you will not need to obtain two (2) sets of official transcripts for onboarding. The Credential Auditor will provide a copy to the Substitute Services Office upon accurate completion of your 30-day permit application. 4. Go to www.Edjoin.org and complete your certificated online application then apply for the position “Student Teacher Substitutes”. Please note that the job posting will close on Edjoin for the following (Fall semester students, Oct 22 and Spring semester students, Feb. 2022). 5. Please note that all employees in the Sacramento City Unified School District must meet the District’s vaccination requirement which states that ALL employees must either be vaccinated prior to January 31, 2022 or have an approved exemption on file.
