Requirements / Qualifications
The Baldwin Park Unified School District is seeking for two (2) School Social Workers. Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Student Achievement or Designee, the School Social Worker promotes early identification of students with academic, behavioral, social, and/or emotional problems and provides opportunities for intervention; and recommends procedures for dealing with those effects on a student’s learning and behavior. REQUIREMENTS Education: -Masters’ Degree from an accredited university or college in the field of school social work. -One of the following California credentials authorizing K-12 service must be in force: 1. A pupil personnel services credential authorizing service in social work 2. Services credential with specialization in health designating social work service Experience: -At least one year of employment in the field of school social work while under supervision and working with school-age children, or a one-year in a mental health setting working with school-age children. LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES -Possession of a valid and appropriate California Driver's License, the availability of private transportation or the ability to provide transportation between job sites is required. One of the following California credentials authorizing K-12 service must be in force: 1. A pupil personnel services credential authorizing service in social work 2.
