Job Summary

Teach a competency-based course designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in welding and in other related industries. Prepare students to meet industry certification requirements. Emphasis is placed on application of following occupation-specific skills for welding and related processes of Welding and Shop Safety: Oxyacetylene Cutting, Plasma Arc Cutting, Air Carbon Arc Cutting, Arc Welding, TIG Welding, MIG Welding, Weld Testing, General Shop Equipment, Trade Math and Layout and Fit Up.

Requirements / Qualifications

EXPERIENCE / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a Designated Subjects Vocational Education Teaching credential or Designated Subject Career Technical Education Credential, or be eligible to obtain a Designated Subject Career Technical Education Teaching Credential in the appropriate subject matter area (this requires a minimum of five years of full-time recent work experience and or a combination of recent work experience and education). Assistance to obtain a Designated Subject Career Technical Education Teaching Credential is provided for a qualified eligible applicant not holding an appropriate credential.
