Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services/CAO, the Director of Student Services serves as the Charter expert independent study and the custodian of student records services and program access. Responsible for administering Student Services and related programs such as 504s, Student Prevention, Course Offerings, Student Success Teams (SSTs), and Health and Wellness. May serve as Hearing Officer for the District. Serve as an advocate for pupils and a liaison in the articulation of Student Services needs within the District to ensure equity and access to all programs and learning options.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Current California Multiple Subjects, Single Subject Teaching Credential or Pupil Personnel Credential • California Administrative Credential • Master's degree highly desirable

LOCATION OF POSITION: HCS Administration Office 2800 Nicolaus Road, Suite 100, Lincoln, CA 95648 WHAT MAKES HORIZON CHARTER SCHOOLS UNIQUE A free, publically-funded charter school, we provide more student funds to each child – $2,600 per kindergarten (K) through 8th grade student and $2,800 per high school student. These added funds mean you have more choices for educational materials and your children have more opportunities to take elective and enrichment classes from our educational partners. Plus, we allow families to share funds within their immediate family, giving you even more flexibility. We also have a large Curriculum Resource Center filled with educational materials families can borrow free of charge. HCS is also a PERS/STRS Employer. HCS is a fully Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) accredited K-12 school with a 24 year history. We serve Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, Nevada, Sutter and Yuba counties offering quality education through personalized learning.
