Job Summary The Assistant Preschool Director will assist the Preschool Director in the following tasks with the intention of stepping into the role of Preschool Director in the 2023-2024 school year: The person selected for this position must be able to relate well to children and adults in a Christian atmosphere. The duties include: leading and scheduling the preschool staff, enrolling children, maintaining records and correspondence, conducting tours, supervising staff, conducting meetings, observing confidentiality, keeping the environment in order, updating forms and handbooks, preparing and presenting reports for school board meetings, and maintaining school accreditation and compliance with state licensing. The person should have 24 units in Early Childhood Education. The Preschool Director is charged with the overall responsibility for the preschool program and before/after preschool daycare. The Preschool Director assumes responsibility for creating, sustaining, and nurturing an engaging educational environment and will serve as a Christian role model and spiritual leader. The Preschool Director oversees and supervises the teachers, assistants, and students in the preschool program. The Preschool Director must also be willing to serve as a teacher in the preschool classroom as needed, guide, and train staff. The Preschool Director will have the following responsibilities: • Responsible for the overall safety and well-being of the preschool students. • Responsible for curriculum development of preschool programs and the summer program. • Familiarity with each student and family and review new students’ files prior to enrollment. • Promote positive teamwork and a spirit of collaboration among staff with a clear vision. • Oversee the Emergency and Disaster Plan for the preschool • Serve as the primary point of contact for parents with regard to the preschool program. • Assist the Head of School and collaborate as part of an administrative te
