Requirements / Qualifications

Russian & Ukrainian languages preferred Must pre-qualify by attaching one documentation from the following list: 1. A passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam - testing date must be April 2005 to current. No other school districts proficiency exam will be accepted. Please call (916) 971-7745 to request a testing appointment, or you can schedule a testing appointment by coping and pasting this link into your web browser: https://www.sanjuan.edu/Page/44415 OR 2. Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST) OR 3. OFFICIAL transcripts demonstrating the completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units)***. Unofficial transcripts will not be accepted. OR 4. Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher).*** ***If your degree/transcripts are from a foreign college or university, YOU MUST have coursework evaluated for its equivalency to a degree/transcripts received from an accredited United States college or university.

Applicant must be fluent in English in addition to the specified language. Candidates with an approved application will be contacted after the posting closes to schedule a bilingual testing appointment. Contact the EL office with questions regarding bilingual testing at 971-5382.
