Requirements / Qualifications

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide direct instruction and research-based interventions for students struggling to meet standards. • Provide instruction utilizing best practices in ELA and Mathematics. • Participate in site meetings and collaborate with teachers to ensure a consistent and coordinated academic program. • Participate in professional development including institutes, conferences, workshops, and meetings as necessary. • Analyze and interpret student data and current research for the purpose of determining individual/group instructional needs. • Analyze student work relative to content standards as a vehicle to improve instruction and achievement. • Implement instructional support services for identified students including academic preventions/interventions. • Utilize appropriate standards-based core and supplemental materials.

• Monitor student progress. • Assist with home-school links to support students. • Keeps up-to-date of new techniques and developments in education by maintaining contact with others in the education field (e.g., professional association and educational group members) and by reading outcome-based research materials. • Maintains records, prepares reports, and participates in the development of students’ education plans. Reports statistical and student information to the appropriate personnel. • Teach and coordinate Tier 2 & 3 intervention for target students. • Manage and collect data necessary to develop, implement, and evaluate Tier 1, 2, & 3 interventions. • Participate in Student Success Team meetings to assist in coordination of intervention services for students receiving them. • Participate in ongoing professional development on the district adopted programs for intervention. • Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Valid appropriate California teaching credential authorizing service as an elementary classroom teacher, as well as CLAD/English Learner Authorization.
