EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Education: High School graduate or the equivalent. (Six) 6 semester units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development (CD) coursework is required. Proof of education (copies of official transcripts) must be submitted with the application. Experience: One (1) year experience working with infants and toddlers. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Pediatric First Aid and CPR Certificate (15 hours of Health Education to meet Title XXII requirements).

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Director of Child Development Programs, assist the teacher in the care, supervision and learning activities in the classroom and on the playground of preschool aged students. WORKING HOURS: Substitute Child Development Instructional Assistants work on call, as needed, generally with short notice, at any of the schools in Colton, Bloomington, Grand Terrace and the Southridge area in Fontana which is included in the Colton Joint Unified School District. The number of hours per day will vary with each assignment. There are no guaranteed number of hours, no guarantee of a permanent position and no benefits.
