GOALS OF THE OPERATIONS OFFICE: Support Campus Security and Emergency Preparedness of the Academy. Ensure Cadet Life operations are executed according to the published schedules in an accurate, safe, and timely manner.  JOB PURPOSE: Security Support Officers will work in teams and report directly to a Security Support Supervisor assigned to their team. Teams will provide sound Cadet Accountability of boarding and day students, as well as ensure the physical security of the campus.  Officers will provide clear and consistent communication with their team supervisor regarding all Cadet issues that arise, following our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Academy policies, including those published in the Cadet Guidebook.    1.  Ensure Operation Support to the Academy Programs 2.  Ensure Safety of Cadets and Protection of the School Environment 3.  Maintain Staff, Faculty, Cadet and Patron Confidence and Protect Operations 4. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior experience in positions responsible for safety and security, law enforcement agency, or relevant military experience.

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and relate to students, faculty, staff, and external public.
  • Possess administrative and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge and acceptance of principles and philosophies of Army and Navy Academy.
  • Capable Computer Skills (Outlook, MSOffice Suite, GoogleDocs).
  • Must be able to work independently, create and follow assigned schedules/projects.
  • Complete routine, repetitive tasks, write reports and communicate effectively.
  • Should have approachable demeanor, healthy conflict resolution skills, excellent customer service skills, and diversity awareness.

  • Patrol school buildings, yards, parking areas and adjacent areas to maintain order and prevent illegal acts.
