About the Employer
The Wasco Union Elementary School District serves over 3,650 students in grade levels pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Founded in 1940, the district is comprised of four elementary schools and two middle schools. The district strives to provide a rigorous and supportive educational program, strong community partnerships and high levels of parental involvement. Our mission is to provide all students an education which promotes lifelong learning, an appreciation for diversity, and responsible citizenship. Requirements / Qualifications
Possess a Valid California Credential Degree in special education, counseling, or related field such as school psychology, Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Licensed Clinical Social Worker Valid California Driver's license and personal car for use on district business Knowledge and understanding of evidence-based best practices in child behavior management to promote behavioral, social-emotional health for academic success and positive school climate Experience providing individual and family support, including working collaboratively with outside agencies, providing professional development, and monitoring program implementation Three years of verifiable success working directly with children and families Desired Qualifications: Bilingual/Biliterate Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certification (BCBA), Continuum of Behavior Interventions and Supports (COBIS), or willingness to attain such certification or the equivalent Pupil Personnel Services Credential Knowledge of California Education Code Knowledge of Special Education Law Advanced degree in special education, counseling, or related field such as school psychology, Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Licensed Clinical Social Worker
