Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, perform semi-skilled gardening and grounds maintenance duties in the beautification of District grounds and/or athletic fields; perform weed and pest control and abatement according to established procedures; prepare athletic fields for physical education or sporting events as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Education: High School graduate or the equivalent. Proof will be required at time of employment. Experience: Three years’ experience in the operation and maintenance of grounds maintenance equipment including large gang mowers and related equipment. Any combination of training and/or experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities may be considered. Testing: Passing score on District Grounds Equipment Operator test, within the last three years. Other: Bilingual/Spanish desired. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California driver's license.
