AmeriCorps is a national community service program designed to help communities meet the specific needs in their area by recruiting and training individuals who are willing to commitment a minimum of 900 hours (Full-time Capacity, 8 hours daily) during the academic year and serve in selected community projects. Members participating in this program are part of a county wide Multi-Tiered Systems of Support educational initiative serving K-12th grade students, through a partnership between Lake County Office of Education, and Lake County School Districts.
