Kenter Canyon Charter Elementary School is offering a Resource Specialist Teacher position for the 2021/22 school year Kenter Canyon Affiliated Charter is an Elementary school servicing grades TK through fifth. The total student population is 500. The school is located in the historic Brentwood area of Los Angeles. Kenter Canyon’s faculty, staff, and parents work collaboratively in making decisions on curriculum, staffing, and budget. Kenter Canyon’s is operating as an energized learning community dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in the academic achievement and character development of all its students. Its mission is being accomplished by strong parental involvement, a rigorous academic program, and excellence in teaching. Kenter Canyon Elementary Charter seeks an outstanding teacher to plan, organize and implement high quality instructional programs for students with disabilities in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. Required Qualifications: • Valid Mild/Moderate Special Education teaching credentials. • Appropriate certification to teach English language learners (CLAD, BCLAD, SB395 or SB1969 certificate, BCC or LDS certificate) Desirable Qualifications: • Ability to work effectively with all racial, ethnic, linguistic, disability, and socioeconomic groups. • Effective oral and written communication skills • Collaborative and team building skills • Poise, tact, good judgment, and commitment to the education of all students. • Ability to use technology to access data to support and inform instruction • Skills in analyzing and using data to make instructional and behavioral decisions. • Knowledge of BRIGANCE, WJ IV, DIBELS and other assessment tools
