The San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools office acts as an intermediate service agency between the California Department of Education and the 33 school districts in San Bernardino County to help meet the educational needs of all children county-wide. Requirements / Qualifications
NECESSARY MATERIALS FOR APPLICATION • Completed online Ed-Join Application (incomplete applications will not be accepted. All fields must be filled-in). • Current Resume. • One (1) Current Letter of Reference (dated and signed within last 3 years). • Copy of Associate Degree or higher -OR- copy of transcripts verifying 72 quarter or 48 semester units from an accredited college or university -OR- copy of verification of passing ESSA written test. NOTICE: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications and attach all necessary materials listed (above) to online application prior to the stated deadline to qualify as a candidate.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • One (1) year of experience transcribing Braille and print, preferably working with children. (Verifiable, supervised experience as a volunteer in a school or related organizational activity may be substituted for the work experience on an equal time basis.) • Ability to meet ESSA requirements of completion of an Associate Degree or higher -OR- completion of 72 quarter units or 48 semester units -OR- prior passage of the ESSA written test may be substituted in lieu of taking a written test administered by SBCSS.
