As an independent nonprofit organization, the Partnership serves 13,550 students across 20 LA Unified schools in Watts, Boyle Heights and South Los Angeles. The Partnership works within the Los Angeles Unified School District context, which includes honoring all collective bargaining agreements for its teachers and school staff.

The Partnership for Los Angeles Schools is recruiting a cohort of teacher residents for the Partnership for Los Angeles Schools Teacher Residency! This is an innovative and affordable pathway to a full-time teaching career in Los Angeles. Residents earn their Master’s Degree and Teaching Credential in one year in high-need subjects such as Math, Science, English, and Special Education through the Alder Graduate School of Education. Residents are part of a supportive, mentor-based program with an emphasis on social justice and educational equity. After the year of residency, graduates receive priority hiring as Partnership for Los Angeles Schools teachers in LAUSD. The Partnership for LA Schools is a non-profit organization managing a school transformation network inside LAUSD. We are not a charter organization. Our mission is to transform schools to revolutionize school systems, empowering ALL students with a high-quality education.

- Bachelor’s degree earned by June 2022 - 3.0 GPA preferred, 2.65 minimum - Eligible to work in the U.S.

$20,000 in stipends ($15,000 living stipend + $5,000 recruitment stipend just for the 2022-23 cohort)
Up to $20k in grants to support teacher residents
Up to $40K in federal financial aid/loans and the opportunity to apply for scholarships

Priority hiring for a full-time position in Partnership for LA Schools network (all LAUSD schools)
