Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Director and Assistant Director, the Adult Education Transition Specialist provides assistance for the students in the English as a Second language (ESL), High School Diploma, High School Equivalency, Adult Basic Skills and Career Technical Education (CTE) Programs to facilitate the achievement of their career objectives and post secondary academics. The main goal is to have a "warm hand off" or transitional support to junior/community colleges and career schools and apprenticeships.
Requirements / Qualifications
California Adult Education Teaching Credential, California Career and Technical Education Teaching Credential, California Standard Elementary Teaching Credential or California Standard Secondary Education Teaching Credential Completed EdJoin Application Cover Letter 3 Current Letters of Recommendation (one of them must be from an administrator or supervisor within the last two years), Resume WHEN HIRED-ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: *CBEST *Valid CA Credential-(Preliminary/Clear/Intern) *English Learner Authorization/CLAD/BCLAD *Identification *Social Security Card *Official Transcripts showing BA issuance date, and any post-graduate units. * A fingerprint clearance must be done by our office. * You must submit a TB Test 17 years of experience accepted with verification.

As part of the selection process, all new employees are required to provide the following information: new employees must be fingerprinted (paid by the District); TB test (paid by the employee); social security card; picture identification; and authorization to work (I-9).
