
Assistant Director, Research, Assessment, and Evaluation at Riverside Unified School District (RUSD)

With schools dating back to the 1870s, the award-winning Riverside Unified School District (RUSD) is now the 16th largest school district in California. RUSD educates nearly 42,000 students across 50 schools in Riverside. The District serves a large portion of Riverside as well as the unincorporated areas of Highgrove and Woodcrest. RUSD is led by its 13th Superintendent, Dr. Sonia Llamas and is governed by a Board of Education comprised of publicly elected officials who serve five different trustee areas.
Requirements / Qualifications
The Assistant Director of Research, Assessment, and Evaluation, under the direction of the Director of the Research, Assessment, and Evaluation Department, will serve as the administrative assistant and facilitator of management tasks related to the efficient operation of the education program of the District and: • Maintains a highly visible leadership role in the District. • Provides leadership direction in district, state, and college readiness testing. • Develops strong relationships built on trust. • Report legally required information to Federal and State governmental agencies. • Prepare for, administer, and report State mandated assessments within all RUSD schools and with the non-public schools with RUSD students. • Submit data into various State and County contractor secure web sites as well as into RUSD’s various computer programs (e.g., RUSD’s student information system, the state’s CALPADS system). • Arrange for and manage RUSD’s district-wide assessment management and web-based assessment/data warehouse system (e.g., Illuminate or similar computer program). EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • Master's Degree or equivalent • Administrative experience preferred LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: • Valid California Driver's License. • Proof of automobile insurance. • Travel to various school district sites as needed. • Administrative Services Credential preferred.
