Job Summary
Current Vacancy for Immediate Hire: 1 - Health Care Technician position for 7 hours/183 workdays per year. This eligibility list will be valid for one year and will be used to fill any future vacancies during the time the list is active. Qualified candidates will be placed on an eligibility list on an ongoing basis. Under general supervision of an assigned supervisor and/or credentialed school nurse, to provide assigned health services related to the medical and physical records and needs of students; to perform a variety of first aid, record keeping and clerical duties; to perform specialized personal and health care services for students as assigned; and to perform related work as required. This position is coordinated through the Pupil Services Department and monitored by the school nurses.
Requirements / Qualifications
Employment Standards Education: Graduation from high school or equivalency. Experience: One year of clerical experience OR one year of experience providing health related services including First Aid. Experience working with community health service organizations or experience providing health care services to school-aged children is highly desirable. Completion of a medical training program or internship may substitute for the required experience. Special: A valid First Aid Certificate, comparable to the American Red Cross Standard First Aid Certificate must be obtained during the probationary period. A valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate must be obtained during the probationary period. All licenses, certificates, and other requirements listed above are required at the time of employment and must be maintained during the course of employment unless otherwise noted.
