TITLE: Instructional Assistant, Bilingual – Adult and Career Education REPORTS TO: Site or Program Administrator DEPARTMENT: Site Based CLASSIFICATION: Classified - SEIU FLSA: Non-Exempt WORK YEAR/HOURS 10 month, 205 days, 6.0 hours ISSUED: Revised June 27, 2007 SALARY GRADE: Range 1, 3, 5 or 6: K12I (based on 10 month, 205 day, 7.5 hour work year) Bilingual Stipend BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of a Principal, assist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in a classroom or other learning environment; assist teachers with the preparation of instructional materials; tutor students in assigned subject areas.
